And then the time arrived to put it out there: I’ve started my own company. It has been a dream for a very long time, but I never really came around to actually do it.
Being in Denmark has its benefits and starting a company is one of them. Denmark is extremely good in supporting startups in many different ways. Thank you so much for that ;-). After reading a couple of articles about being a startup in Denmark I finally pushed myself to actually make my dream come true.
Of course I’m still in the very beginning of the whole process, but at least the start has been set.
And then to answer the obvious question: it’s a web hosting/consultancy company. The reason for starting up something like that is 2 fold: 1- I love being a system engineer and administrator. It has been a part of my life and I would not want to miss it for anything in the world. and 2- as a web hosting company my physical location is not limited in any way. I can do this from everywhere in the world, the only thing I need is a decent internet connection and I’m set.
Some of you know I’ve been doing the same thing as a volunteer for about 10 years for Breeze and I’m great full for the possibilities they gave me to learn how this fully works. This also gave me the experience I needed to make a good start.
